Role Description

Io.FINNET is looking for a Cloud QA Engineer to join us to lead and coordinate the testing strategy for our cloud infrastructure and backend services. We require that a candidate for this role should be able to manage and mentor more junior members of the cloud test team and be responsible to implement and maintain the cloud test team's tools, capabilities and processes across our products.


This means the Lead QA Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the quality of the product which should be achieved by planning, organising and implementing test frameworks and the writing of automated tests. The Lead Cloud QA Engineer will work on at least one project at a time within a serverless and event driven cloud Architecture built upon Amazon Web Services and related technologies.


The ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of how APIs are designed and implemented and understand the steps to validate and debug within a cloud environment.


  • Ownership of quality for entire products.
  • Leadership/mentorship of junior QA engineers.
  • Planning, design and implementation of test strategies
    • This will include, E2E testing, Performance testing, Load testing.
    • This could include integration testing and unit testing.
  • Implementation of test tools required to test our products.
  • Writing automated tests. We strive to automate first but sometimes manual testing also is necessary.
  • Close communication with the Development team, Product team and the DevOps Team.
  • Maintain and improve automated testing within CI/CD Process.
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
  • Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.


  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Test/QA Engineer or an SDET
  • 2+ years operating at lead or Senior level
  • Experience working with and testing Amazon Web Services (AWS) components
  • Experience testing APIs
  • Proficient in setting up testing tools from scratch
  • Experience working with different layers of testing (Integration, System, Stress/Load/Performance
  • Node.js experience
  • Proficiency working with Typescript
  • Proficiency with tools such as cucumber
  • Experience mentoring junior members of the team
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines
  • Proficient at testing back-end technologies
  • High level of autonomy with good self-management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with developers in multiple time zones
  • Experience working with databases (SQL and No SQL)
